Hunger

One of humanity's biggest concerns throughout history has been the problem of hunger; With poverty, misery and death, hunger became known as one of the "four horsemen of the apocalypse". There are quite understandable reasons for this: In order to be able to exist and continue its existence, it is necessary to feed. It is important to have a good diet in order to participate in, produce and create economic, political and economic activities.
When it is actually used without wastage, the resources of the earth are sufficient to feed much more than today's world population. Developments that emerged after the industrial revolution; The productivity in agricultural production has increased tremendously due to reasons such as mechanization in agriculture, fertilization, spraying and irrigation facilities. Even if the lands suitable for agriculture on earth are limited, the amount of product obtained from the unit land can be increased to a large extent thanks to the productivity increases. Accordingly, when the changes recorded in the current gene engineering field are added, the existing technology is used. However, today there is such a problem for various regions of the earth.
These are the other two posters I made in screen printing workshop. I designed it to address hunger and water problems in the world. I have repeatedly printed several times to create the newspaper texture. Afterwards, I printed it in 3 different stages for the Sudanese family, water image and red banner informatics.
The newspaper texture used in the background refers to the fact that high circulation newspapers published in developed countries do not include the issue of hunger, one of the biggest problems in the world.
The two most important reasons of deepening hunger problem and increasing concerns in the world are the conflicts arising from the increasing drought and regional conflicts due to global climate change. Mankind's inability to get along with his fellows, and aggressive- destructive ideologies to engage in fights with their neighbors, on the other hand, also make the problem of hunger chronic. More specifically, insufficiency of food production in least developed countries, suitable climatic conditions and lack of suitability of the natural sources of revenue on the one hand, on the other hand is attributed to population density. I think it is just a misunderstanding that population density is the cause of hunger. The reason for starvation is that individuals who are not trained with good education and training, waste their time resources such as energy, money, capital, labor and land in conflicts, conflicts, quarrels and wars.
The problem of hunger and poverty is a problem that is observed more in rural areas around the world. Research shows that half of the world's population lives on less than $2 a day and 1.5 billion people live on less than $1 a day. 80% of over 800 million people starving worldwide are living in the rural areas of developing countries. It is estimated that 25 million people die every year from hunger or malnutrition worldwide. 800 million people, including 300 million children, are exposed to starvation.
